British Retail Consortium (BRC) is the leading trade association representing all retailers, from large multiples to independents and TSO has been providing publishing, design and print services to the BRC since 2002, playing an integral part in the success of the BRC Global Standards scheme.
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) is responsible for setting standards for drivers, riders and trainers to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured in road collisions. TSO is expanding DSA’s range of high quality, multimedia products so that all road users can access DSA's information in the ways they want.
The new Life in the UK test will begin on 25 March 2013. The new test will be based on the new handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents, 3rd Edition published by TSO on behalf of the Home Office on 28 January 2013.
Nature Publishing Group (NPG) produces leading scientific journal, Nature, and is part of the global Macmillan Publishing Group. The Group was keen to offer linked data to third parties and asked TSO to help implement this.
When the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) needed an online catalogue at short notice, TSO’s Technical Services team designed and delivered it ready to take orders in just three weeks.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) is the largest non-metropolitan police force in England and Wales. It covers Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire whose population is 2.1million, and polices more miles of motorway than any other force in Britain.
TSO and partner System Simulation Limited, has worked closely with TVP to implement a Digital Asset Management system to manage TVP’s digital still images. It also has the ability to manage video and audio evidence in the future.
The Gazettes are complex publications with over 5,000 customers placing more than 200,000 notices each year and TSO has worked closely with The National Archives to introduce a sophisticated electronic processing system, conforming to the e-government priority of opening up public data.
The Hansard (Official Report) provides an edited record of what was said in Parliament and NIA. It also includes votes, written ministerial statements and written answers to House of Commons and House of Lords parliamentary questions. The report is published to cover the preceding day and is followed by a final bound volume version.
The National Archives’ Legislation.gov.uk service was created in partnership with TSO to be the world’s first state legislative records service published online, and available in multiple formats, using Open Data standards.
