The hunt is on for Britain’s most innovative ideas for public data that will bring greater value to communities locally, regionally or nationally
TSO sponsored the Rewired State National Hack the Government Day 2010, on 20 March 2010 in London. The event brought developers together to create and present working projects from public sector information. The projects created included a Parliamentary Bill Analyzer, Map Interface for Hospital and Registry Office APIs and an expenditure map. View full details of the projects created.

TSO (The Stationery Office), the public sector division of Williams Lea, has today announced a partnership with Garlik, the leading semantic technology innovator, to launch what is believed to be the world's most scalable, securely hosted RDF platform for use by UK Central and Local Government departments. As the largest publisher in the UK of public sector documents (over 8,000 titles a year), TSO has taken this proactive step to provide its core public sector customers with the ability to participate with confidence in the Government's open data initiative.

Gareth Riggs from Bradford has successfully won the competition run by TSO, the official publishers for the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), to win a brand new Peugeot 207. Gareth is clearly delighted to be this year’s winner after correctly answering the competition questions included within the official DSA portfolio of learning to drive products – notably the best-selling Official DSA Theory Test for Car Drivers book. Gareth said ‘The official DSA book set things out simply and clearly, ensuring I was fully prepared to pass my test first time!’
Alison Haycock from Derbyshire has successfully won a competition run by TSO, the official publishers for the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), for £1000 worth of brand new bike gear of her choice!
