TSO secures continued Quality certification

TSO is accredited to the internationally recognised and respected ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management standard. Meeting the requirements of this standard demonstrates TSO’s commitment to driving continual quality improvements through the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) across the whole organisation.

2012 has been a successful year for TSO with twelve multi-disciplined intensive accredited assessments being carried out with only a few minor issues raised. This is an exceptional performance by all teams who took part and highlights our commitment to getting our processes right, which gives our customers the confidence that we do what we say we do.

Following a successful strategic review at the end of a three year cycle in April, TSO was rewarded with re-certification by the British Standards Institute (BSI) Management Systems to operate under their accreditation body for a further three years.

This commitment is underpinned by our strategic quality objectives:

  • Use the QMS as a tool to measure, monitor and implement best practice outcomes across the organisation
  • Manage continual improvement through the monitoring and measurement of Key Performance Indicators across the supply chain processes.

British Standard Institute (BSI) is TSO’s preferred third party accreditation body for all our certifications including:

  • ISO 9001:2008 Quality
  • ISO 14001:2004 Environment
  • ISO 18001:2007 OH&S
  • ISO 27001:2005 Information Security

As part of the accreditation process the third party body rigorously assesses all parts of the business over a three year period. This involves looking at department processes, senior management involvement, the business objectives, our performance analysis, etc.

Having a robust Quality Management System is generally accepted by the public sector to be a good indicator to the integrity of a business and for TSO this an integral part of our organisation.
