TSO retains QCDA’s print management contract for Optional Tests

TSO, part of the Williams Lea Group, is pleased to announce it has retained the print services contract for QCDA Enterprises Ltd (part of the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency) optional tests.

Owen Durnin, TSO Account Manager said, 'This is a significant print management contract and demonstrates our thorough understanding of QCDA's requirements. We have a long history of providing a ‘no fail’ service to all of our clients and over the last four production cycles of QCDA printed materials, we have consistently met all quality, cost and scheduling requirements.'

Optional Tests are non-statutory examinations that may be ordered and administered by schools to provide a reliable assessment of pupils' performance in English and Mathematics in years three, four, five, seven and eight, and in English, Mathematics and Science in year nine. Optional Tests are designed to raise standards by enabling teachers to track pupils’ progress, contributing to the identification of pupils’ strengths and weaknesses and to the provision of targeted support and challenge where needed.

The new contract will start with immediate effect and TSO will manage the printing and delivery of between ten to 20 million test papers for schools per year, including supporting audio materials.
