Direct feed for crucial insolvency data

On 1st February 2007, the London Gazetteopens in new window launched a new data feed service for business recovery specialists, financial institutions and credit management agencies.

The new data feeds will be available as XML, a computer language that can be integrated with existing systems and eliminate re-keying. XML feeds join the existing portfolio of Microsoft Excel and other formats that give users immediate access to London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazette data in a way that can be provided organised and filtered to suit customers' own needs.

Data feeds enable business recovery specialists to keep abreast of new entrants to the insolvency process, facilitating business development campaigns and providing company and trustee contacts. At this time of increasing numbers of personal insolvencies, Gazette Directopens in new window allows financial institutions to manage their exposure to bankrupts and to companies subject to insolvency proceedings. Publishers of credit management information also use the data for re-packaging and incorporating into value-added services.

Published by TSO, the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettesopens in new window are the UK's official newspapers of record and publish 175,000 notices each year.

Information is available on the day of publication and can include:

  • corporate insolvency (including key information for the administration, creditors and members voluntary liquidations and winding up by the court processes such as winding up petitions and winding up orders, resolutions, meetings of creditors, appointments and, dividends)
  • personal insolvency (including bankruptcy orders for individuals and partnerships, amendment of title of proceedings, appointment of trustees, notices to creditors and intended dividends amongst a range of other information).

It can also be provided in consolidated form, with geographical filters, or by the stage or type of insolvency.
