TSO at Civil Service Live London 2014

Friday, 18 July 2014, 15:40.

Our stand, in the Modern Civil Service hub, was buzzing with delegates testing their knowledge of the Official Highway Code and the Official Life in the UK Citizenship Test on the apps we have developed for DVSA and the Home Office. Delegates could also see demonstrations on how we have digitised legislation drafting and publishing; how we redeveloped The Gazette for a digital age; how to open up data; automatically identifying useful information in content; how to drive value from content and how to turn documents into data. These presentations were delivered by our experts who were also on hand to answer questions.

TSO also hosted two speaker sessions in the main conference area. In the “Creating user-focused digital services” session speakers from Land Registry, DVLA and TSO spoke about the process and challenges of developing government digital services for users. In a second 45 minute speaker session John Sheridan, Head of Legislation Services for TSO’s client The National Archives, delivered a presentation on “Transforming the public record for modern government” on our behalf, in which he talked about how legisation and The Gazette processes have been transformed and data opened up to a wider audience.
