Charity
As part of a two-year Williams Lea charity fundraising initiative, TSO is delighted to lend its support to Cancer Research UK (CR-UK). Our chosen Charity of the Year is also the world’s leading aid organisation dedicated to beating cancer through research, and money raised will go to fund Senior Research Nurses in a number of units across the UK, including Cambridge, Glasgow, Luton and London
Cancer Research UK works to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. CR-UK scientists focus on treatments which target cancer more precisely and in ways that are kinder to patients. The ultimate aim of the charity is to save many more lives in the future.
During 2011, committed TSO employees have already exceeded our initial £10,000 fundraising target through an eclectic mix of entertaining and exerting events. Staff have cycled from London to Brighton, taken part in fun-runs and golf tournaments, grown sunflowers and even held an indoor summer fete. And to make it even more worthwhile, all funds raised by staff are matched in full by Williams Lea.
